Chrisette Michele is a gifted singer and songwriter from Long Island, New York. She has done work in the music industry for 13 years, released over 100 songs, toured the world, and collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Jay-Z, John Legend, Drake, Patty Labelle, Stevie Wonder, and others. With a diverse set of passions and accomplishments, she refuses to be put in a box.

Musical Career

Chrisette Michele was raised on gospel music. She also played the saxophone through high school and graduated from college with a degree in vocal performance. At the beginning of her career, she made vocal appearances on albums from Jay-Z, Nas, The Game, and Ghostface Killah. Her debut album, I Am, was released on June 18, 2007.

Public Speaking

Her speaking career has brought her to institutions like Harvard, Spelman, Temple and Rutgers and many others. She has been honored to speak on panels with organizations like The NAACP, The Congressional Black Caucus, Girl Scouts of America, VH1 Save The Music, The American Heart Association and lifestyle companies like Beauty Con NYC, The World Hair Show, Essence and many more.

TV & Stage

Chrisette Michele began her acting career on the TV show “Girlfriends” where she worked alongside Tracee Ellis Ross and other film industry veterans. She has since made appearances in several family-friendly TV programs and stage plays, which has brought her across the country and in the presence of several adoring audiences.
